Motherhood Unfiltered — A Postpartum Support Group for New Moms

Led by Yuliya Golubev, LMHC-D — Certified Gestalt & Perinatal Therapist

Why Group:

New moms often face isolation, intrusive worries, and constant self-doubt — all while trying to do everything “just right.” You’re not alone: up to 1 in 5 women experience postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) such as anxiety, depression, or feeling emotionally detached after birth.

Motherhood can feel like a secret club where everyone else seems to be thriving — yet behind the smiles, many women are quietly struggling.
If you’re tired of the spiral of comparison, feeling like you’re not “good enough,” or longing for a space where you can be real and talk about motherhood without filters or censorship, this group is for you.

Even if you’re already connected to an individual therapist, you might still be missing a tribe — a place to feel understood, supported, and seen by other moms who “get it.” Group therapy offers what individual therapy alone cannot: shared experience, belonging, and community healing. New moms often face isolation, intrusive worries, and constant self-doubt — all while trying to do everything “just right.”
If you’re tired of the spiral of comparison or feeling like you’re not good enough…
If you’re longing for a space where you can show up as yourself and talk about motherhood openly — without filters or censorship — this group is for you.

Group therapy helps create a sense of normalization — realizing you’re not alone in your struggles.
It offers acceptance, compassion, and relief from the shame and guilt so many new mothers carry in silence.
Through shared stories, empathy, and connection, healing begins to unfold naturally.

Together, we’ll take a deep dive into motherhood — unpacking the good, the bad, and the ugly — and finding connection in all of it. We will unpack the expectations vs the reality of motherhood. You will develop a sense of confidence about being a mom and learn how you can calm yourself in the chaos.

Becoming a mother changes everything — your body, your identity, your relationships, and your sense of self. This group offers a supportive space for new moms to slow down, share honestly, and reconnect with themselves in the early months of motherhood. Together, we’ll laugh, cry, and build a tribe of support and connection.

This group is for you if you’ve ever thought:
• “I love my baby, but I miss who I was before.”
• “Everyone says I should be happy, but I feel anxious or alone.”
• “I wish I had a space to talk about the hard parts of motherhood without judgment.”
